The installation process provides all files required to perform a BIOS update
using the AMI AFUWIN BIOS Update utility. 

Installation procedure: 


1. Save/Download the provided .ZIP file to a folder on your hard drive.  
(e.g. C:\BIOS, C:\TEMP)

Note: Make a note of the path the file is saved to on your hard drive.


2. UNZIP the .ZIP file to your hard disk. 

Do this by right clicking on the file and click unzip or extract (If you do 
not have an option to unzip, visit http://www.Winzip.com)


3. Close all other applications.
Note: This is a required step. Your system will be rebooted at the last BIOS 
Update window. 


4. Open Windows Explorer, browse to the directory you have chosen and 
double click AFUWIN.exe
Note: If you cannot see the extension on the files, such as .exe, go to View on 
the taskbar and choose Details.

Note: If Winflash says your BIOS is not compatible with the program, you will 
need to update your BIOS via a DOS based method. Visit our eSupport site for 
details: http://www.esupport.com/techsupport/  or call us as we can deliver a 
method via diskette.


5. On the taskbar, choose File -> Update BIOS. Choose the eSupport BIOS update 
rom file (e.g. AMXXXXXX.ROM) then click Open.  Click Update.

6. If the update was sucessful, the program will ask you to reboot. Chose yes if 
you have closed all your programs and saved your work. If you haven't choose no, 
close all programs and save your work, then reboot your computer.   If the update 
was NOT sucessful, please contact us immediately. Do you not shutdown your 
computer until the problem is resolved!

7. Once the computer resets, it will likely say that CMOS settings have changed. 
You should go into CMOS, usually by pressing the DEL key, and save the settings. 
For advanced users, at this time, if you wish, you may adjust CMOS settings to 
your liking.

8. After saving the CMOS settings, your new BIOS is now installed!
